Creating Anchor Charts for our Comprehension Skills Focus
Welcome to Week 4 everyone!!
This week we have a couple of Anchor Charts to create in our English Evidence Books.
One from last week's focus on VISUALISATION.
And one for this week's focus on INFERENCE.
Anchor charts are a way for us to make our thinking visual. Remember how we brainstormed our thinking about what it means to VISUALISE while reading, and how VISUALISING while reading helps us better understand the text we are reading because we are making pictures and movies of it in our heads?
Here are some Anchor Chart examples to take a look at.... You will need to create your own versions - one for VISUALISATION and one for INFERENCE.
Remember the chart should be very visual (it may include symbols, pictures, diagrams and words), will probably be quite colourful and will be a record of your thinking and understanding of each reading strategy.
