Who are we you may ask...Hello, hi, g’day, kudual, bonjour, kia ora,
We are a 5/6 CH and we are pleased to meet you. We have decided that it would be a great idea to use our class website and class blog to be able to: - Share our awesome classroom experiences with the world, and maybe make some connections with learners from other parts of the world. - Begin using technology more to help us with our learning. - To just have fun with a class blog! We thought you’d like to know what we do in our class.... We learn about English language - how to read, write, respond and explore. We learn about numbers - how to count them, their place value, how to apply them in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, an how to substitute them in algebra. We learn about measurement, geometry/shape and statistics/data/ probability through workshops and projects. We learn about social skills and how to work positively with others. We learn about ourselves, our strengths and areas to develop, we set goals and work towards achieving them. We learn about personal fitness, and skills for sport. As a Catholic Primary school we learn about the history of our Catholic faith, how we can action our beliefs in today's world, how we can impact positively on our community, and about the lessons that are revealed to us by Jesus in the Scriptures. We are excited to begin a new school year. This year we will have two teachers and a learning support officer working with us and our learning space is getting transformed in a major school building project - crazy times ahead. We hope you visit us lots. 5/6CH 2017 |
